Defensive Carbine
Many police departments, professional security agencies and
private citizens are now strongly looking at carbines as a more
effective option for tactical response and home defense. In our courses, we answer questions on some best practices for utilizing this platform for home defense and provide a course of fire that replicates the practical ranges expected during home invasion type robberies.
The Defensive Carbine course is a comprehensive one-day
course designed to teach the use of the carbine as a defensive weapon for home protection. In this
course you will learn about the flexibility, versatility, and proper
applications of the defensive carbine and how it can best be used in a defensive manner to safeguard your family and home against home invasion.

Required Equipment

AR15-configuration (.223/or 5.56mm carbine); AK47 Configuration (7.62x39)*

300 rounds of factory FMJ ammunition

Handgun with duty or quality conceal carry
holster

50 rounds, handgun ammunition

Tactical sling, One-Point or Two-Point

Comfortable clothing that provides protection
from both the sun and ejected brass as this class is occasionally held outdoors.
*All student carbines should have front and rear iron sights.
Tactical optics that permit co-witness of front and/or rear sights, such as the
Aimpoint or EoTech, may also be used during the course.
NOTE: It is recommended that students bring a hat for
additional protection during classes.
