SHOOTING IN DOWNTOWN ATLANTA!!! BREAKING NEWS!!!

BREAKING ATLANTA NEWS STORY!!!!

Channel 2 News In Atlanta reported three people were shot in midtown Atlanta around lunchtime today Friday June 15, 2011, as reported by Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones. Jones said one person was killed.

The shooting happened on the third level of a parking deck at 14th Street and Crescent Avenue. Jones said that in addition to the person who was killed, one person was shot in the back and another in the ankle. Crescent Avenue is completely shut down while Atlanta Police continues to investigate the crime scene.

Business people in the area reported hearing the gunshots. One witness stated “As the door was closing, I turned around and heard pop pop pop!!!”

She and several other women took cover before leaving.

“I came back outside and a lady was lying face down on the concrete. People were rushing towards her. People were screaming.” one witness said.
